Almost everyone took on a pandemic project when the world stopped in 2020. A certain car enthusiast family pondered the questions: What vehicle could bring joy to generations of complete strangers, and what day would be best to present it?
The answer was simple: The Mystery Machine for Halloween 2020. The search for the right van ended in May with this 1966 Ford Econoline.
Two months were spent ordering parts and drawing out the paint scheme before the restoration began. Four months of evenings and weekends later, the family dressed in full costume and completed their goal of bringing cheer in uncertain times.
